Bertrand was the driver behind the project to replace the condemned Triabunna wharf, as well as the area’s tourism facilities, car park and amenities. The work started in August 2008. The replacement wharf and tourism facilities were completed in 2010 and the final landscaping, community park and car park were completed in early 2011. It was completed by council’s own workforce both on time and within budget.
Bertrand was also instrumental in securing $100,000 from the State Government for feasibility studies on major marina projects in Triabunna and Swansea.
